Litigation involving matters related to Information Technology is increasing, and more of your clients' data is being stored on computer systems. It is now necessary to deal with expert technical witnesses and computer forensics experts more than ever before.

Intended Audience
This course is designed specifically for attorneys and paralegals who have little or no previous experience with the technical aspects of computer/digital forensics, as well as those who just want to understand more about what their experts are doing.

Course Overview
Our focus for this one-of -a-kind course will be the technical and procedural aspects of cases involving information technology. The course is good for 5.5 General and 1.0 Ethics CLE credits in the state of Washington.

Working with computer/digital forensics experts can be confusing, and trying to understand what your expert is doing as well as the "lingo" being used can be a daunting task.

This course will enable you to communicate with your experts more efficiently and understand what they are doing as well as what they can do for you. As many cases now involve Internet technologies, we will be discussing some related items that are normally overlooked as well as misinterpreted. We will be also be discussing how a computer stores data and the locations that data can reside. A checklist of items to cover with your expert will be provided, as well as sample questions to use for cross examination of opposing experts.

Tuition for this course includes continental breakfast, deli sandwich buffet lunch, and afternoon snacks.
